“King of the Road” honors the legacy of a uniquely American icon: the motorcycle. This illustration of a 1925 Harley-Davidson evokes a time when these machines symbolized progress, independence, and the romance of the open road. Designs like this once adorned the mugs of motorcyclists, mechanics, and enthusiasts, reflecting their pride in their craft and passions. Set against a backdrop reminiscent of California’s rugged desert landscapes, this bowl revives a cherished aesthetic, bringing a piece of history into your daily shaving routine.

The artwork is applied using traditional screen-printed ceramic transfers, a method developed nearly a century ago and still favored for its clarity and durability, well suited to a shaving bowl grounded in tradition. Each color is printed with ceramic pigment onto a transfer medium, then carefully applied by hand and kiln-fired. The result is a fused design with crisp detail, rich color, and lasting beauty.
