말쑥한 신사들과 그들의 멋진 악세사리들은 아마도 앤틱 면도보울 도자기를 우아하게 만들지는 않을 듯한데 그들은 면도를 예술적인 형식으로 여겼던 그 시대정신을 형상화한 것이다. 빅토리아 여왕 시대에 그루밍 차트(grooming chart)에는 수십개의 머리형상들이 패셔너블한 헤어스타일들과 수염 트렌드들을 보여주었고 남자들에게 이상적인 외모 스타일을 얻도록 하는 가이드 역할을 하였다. 이러한 과거 전통에 영감을 받은 “Four Gents”는 지나간 시대의 매력과 섬세함을 포착한 것으로 아트웍 작가인 Laurent의 사려깊은 예술성을 통해 재형상화되었다. 스타일, 그루밍 그리고 개인 외모 관리(personal care)간의 시대를 초월하는 연관성을 형상화한 디자인이다. 

약 100년 전 개발되고 지금도 여전히 선명성(clarity)과 내구성(durability)으로 선호되는 전통적인 스크린 프린트 방법을 이용한 아트웍(artwork)이 적용되어 전통적인 쉐이빙 보울에 가장 적합하고 어울린다. 각 색상은 전이되는 매체위의 세라믹 색소가 프린트된 후 수작업으로 조심스럽게 보울에 부착된 후 고열의 가마에서 구워진다. 그 결과 선명한 디테일과 깊이있는 색상 그리고 오래 지속되는 아름다움이 융합된 디자인으로 태어난다. 최상의 결과와 오랜 기간 즐기기위해서 사용법과 보관방법을 참조하세요.

While these dapper gentlemen and their stylish accessories might not grace the porcelain of an antique shaving mug, they embody the spirit of an era that celebrated grooming as an art form. During the Victorian period, proper grooming charts—featuring dozens of headshots showcasing fashionable hairstyles and beard trends—were widely published to guide men in achieving the ideal look. Inspired by this tradition, “Four Gents” captures the charm and sophistication of a bygone age, reimagined through Laurent’s thoughtful artistry. This design is a fitting tribute to the timeless connection between style, grooming, and personal care.

The artwork is applied using traditional screen-printed ceramic transfers, a method developed nearly a century ago and still favored for its clarity and durability, well suited to a shaving bowl grounded in tradition. Each color is printed with ceramic pigment onto a transfer medium, then carefully applied by hand and kiln-fired. The result is a fused design with crisp detail, rich color, and lasting beauty.
