Through the high-strength, champagne-colored titanium nitride coating of one half of the scissors a self-sharpening effect is generated because the surface of the coated scissor-half is about twice as strong as that of the non-coated. Thus, the harder half is much more resistant to wear and is aimed to right up the cutting-burr at each opening / closing of the other, softer half (Design protected). Here is an excerpt from the Report No. 170449/13067 the VPA experimental and testing laboratory Remscheid: "The cutting performance tests were carried out with a device according to research report no. 2272 NRW.
